VERSATILE

Braided rope heaters provide uniform and consistent heating along the length of the rope, ensuring that all parts of the metal component are heated evenly. This helps to avoid hot spots or uneven heating that can cause damage or distortion to the metal.

WRAP MAINTENANCE

COLD TAIL
Cold tail is 200 mm 7.9” from the Camlock.

There is no marker on the Rope heater to indicate the cold tail

>VIMP- please don’t insulate the Cold tail. It is recommended to be 4” Above the Cold tail.
> Recomened to mark on the Braided Rope heater 7.9” from the Fibre Sleeve

WRAP
The braided rope should not have gaps between the wrap around. This will help with the temperature consistency.

MAINTENANCE
> Clean the 60 A ends before you reuse them up, Clean Sockets before they are used

PRODUCT SPECIFICATION

WIRE SPECIFICATION

60/16 Ni.Cr.” is nickel-chromium alloy wire, the temperature at which this wire can be used will depend on the specific grade and composition of the alloy.

In general, nickel-chromium alloys are commonly used in high-temperature applications due to their excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance, good mechanical strength, and high creep resistance.

The maximum temperature at which this wire can be used will depend on the specific application and the environmental conditions (e.g., atmosphere, pressure, etc.).

Nickel-chromium alloy wires can be used at temperatures ranging from 800°C (1472°F) up to 1200°C (2192°F), depending on the alloy and the specific application.

Stainless steel braided sheathing jacket:

Stainless steel 304 is a common austenitic stainless steel alloy that is widely used
in various applications due to its good corrosion resistance, excellent weldability,
and high-temperature strength.

The maximum temperature at which this alloy can be used depends on the specific application and environmental conditions.

Stainless steel 304 can be used at temperatures up to 870°C (1600°F) in intermittent service and 1050°C (1922°F) in continuous service.

Ceramic Beads- Surrounds the 60/16 wire

Ceramic beads can be used at high temperatures up to their maximum operating temperature limit, which varies depending on the specific material used. Alumina ceramic beads, for example, can typically withstand temperatures up to 1500°C (2732°F).

BRAIDED ROPE HEATER - APPLICATION

Braided rope heaters are commonly used in industrial heat treating processes to provide uniform and controlled heat to the workpiece or material being treated. They are often used in applications such as annealing, stress relieving, tempering, and quenching.

The rope-like design of the heater allows for flexibility and ease of installation, making it an ideal solution for applications with complex or irregular shapes.

Braided rope heaters are made from high- temperature resistant materials such as fiberglass or ceramic, and they can withstand temperatures of up to 1800°F (980°C).

The heaters are typically wrapped around the material being treated and connected to a power source, which then heats the material to the desired temperature. The even distribution of heat provided by the braided rope heater helps ensure consistent and repeatable results in the heat treating process.
